Are All Shia Going To Hell?

This text, titled "Are All Shia Going To Hell?", is a fundraising appeal for Village Mosque, encouraging donations to build a masjid by citing a Prophetic tradition promising a house in Jannah for contributors, who will also share in the rewards of those praying, making Dhikr, and memorizing the Qur’an there.

Are All Shia Going To Hell?

Mohammed HijabAnyone who's ever called himself a Shia in Islamic history, do people think that they are all going to the hellfire? Is that our belief? No one has ever actually said that. Allah says, "Are they the ones dividing up the mercy of Allah?" Who are they to speak about who's going to heaven and who's going to hell? Who are you? Allah is going to be the one who says, "To who is the dominion today?" on the Day of Judgment.

No scholar, no sheikh, no da'i, no one is going to say, "Yeah, Allah, I have Barbari's book and I followed it to the T and this and that." Yeah, you might have had Barbari's book or you might have had his book or Ibn Taymiyyah's book or whatever book you think is the one that's the best one. You also had his kibr because you thought you were better than everyone else. And the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said that somebody who has an atom's weight of kibr does not go to heaven, and not just any kibr, only one atom's weight of it.

But those particular scholars who wanted to manipulate us into thinking that everyone, that the vast majority of the Muslim ummah, those who say Alhamdulillah, are going to hell—they wanted to manipulate. And if they, and if we don't follow those scholars, they wanted to manipulate us into thinking that we're going to go to hellfire if we don't follow their scholars. Then they are the ones who are endangering their followers into having a "saved sect syndrome," which could put them in the fire.
