Come Together In Good

This project, "Come Together In Good," encourages donations to establish a Masjid, promising donors a house in Jannah and shared rewards from those praying, making Dhikr, and memorizing the Qur’an within it, fulfilling the Prophet's ﷺ saying.

Unity in Islam

Come together in good and piety. That includes the Shia. Unless you can find a verse in the Quran that removes the Shia or Bid'ah or this one or that one. You can't find this verse. Even if you look at the Hadith, you ask them what Hadith you have to try and disqualify these particular sects and groups from what we're talking about. They have some Hadith that they refer to. By the way, in full disclosure, I'm giving you the steel man of the argument.

So, they say, you know, there's Hadith that says, "Uh, where Muhditha or Muhdatha, the curse of Allah is upon the one who gives refuge to someone who is this Muhdith or Muhdatha." What does it mean? So, some of the scholars say it means Bid'ah. That's what they—this is how they say it. So, you cannot give refuge to an Bid'ah or Mubtadi. Right?

The response is, first of all, some other scholars said it just means a criminal Muslim. It doesn't necessarily have to be a Bid'ah. And number two, if we assume that it is talking about a criminal, it makes more sense actually. Because why would somebody give a criminal refuge? He's done something against the law. He should be punished according to that. But that's not something that does Takhsees or Taqyeed, specification or constriction of the generic verses in the Quran telling us to unite upon goodness.
