Epstein, Ka'ba Cloth, and Black Magic
And it's interesting, we've mentioned many times that you don't find many conservative Muslims in there, except people who are not conservative but maybe Muslim by name. So the question raises itself as to why this is all the case, and a plausible explanation for this is that this is used for sorcery and black magic. Now, many people will not understand what I mean by that, and especially if you're coming from a secular or materialist perspective. Black magic and these kind of things are seen as superstitions of old. But the truth of the matter is, black magic is clearly something the elites understood and they believed in. And the fact that pieces of the Ka'ba or cloth of the Ka'ba or something like that was sent is something that was understood by Islamic scholars a long time ago, as well as, by the way, Jewish scholars as well, because the desecration of sacred items or sacred objects is a way, is a method that you can do black magic.
And al-Qarafi mentions this, for example, I did a bit of a search, he mentions one of the classical scholars of Islam that this is a legitimate method of doing black magic. Obviously, black magic in Islamic tradition is considered one of the major sins that takes someone outside of the pale of Islam, because we worship in one God alone, and we don't worship in the polytheistic satans that these individuals worship.
