The Responsibility of a Da'ee
HostCould we say that because of the name you're carrying, you know, the responsibility as a da'ee, as an ambassador for Islam, going into a fight with an enemy of Islam, if you lose, they will present it as a loss for Islam and Muslims? Are you ready to carry such a responsibility?
Mohammed HijabThat was what the Sahaba had to do each time. Every single, and the Prophet, you know what? Let me tell you something about Sadiq Khan and one thing that I would actually consider to be an evidence for the veracity of Islam. This is an evidence that Islam is true. You have a 53-year-old man, way past his physical prime. He's having on average two wars every year, and he's not just sending armies. He is participating in the front line of those wars. There's not just a risk that he will lose, there's a risk that he will die. Subhanallah. This could be very easily considered to be the easiest argument for why he was a true prophet because nobody in their right mind who thinks of material gain, okay, puts their life on the line for something they don't believe in consistently. That's true.
That's true to you. It's never happened in human history. Anybody who does not believe in what they're saying would never do that. If you're trying to acquire money or women or land or power or all these things, there is no way you would risk all of that continuously and consistently by going to war every year. So, without risk there is no reward, really. And yeah, I agree there is a risk in this that would for me, but I have to take it because this is a person who is, we can't really even have discourses with the far right anymore. It's we're too polarized. Something like this will, I think, balance the sheet a little bit and it will put things in a perspective.
