Why Do They Attack Us?

Why do you think the Americans spend so much money on us? Why do you think they make it a policy to come into our countries all the time? Why do you think they make it a policy to talk about clash of civilizations and make us the antagonist? Why do you think that it's about terrorism in Islam now after the Cold War?

The reason why is actually what Samuel P. Huntington diagnosed in the first instance: that we are the most credible threat to the American hegemonic power. That's what they're afraid of. They're afraid to wake up the sleeping giant of Islam. Unfortunately, a lot of us don't realize our own strength.
